For the past several years, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) member benefit MyComm has helped IABC members develop and refine their strategic communication planning. Provided by Cisco at not additional cost to members, it delievered a strategic planning platform for communication professionals, managers and team leaders in fulfilling their communication roles.

Rapid changes in technology and communication have now rendered MyComm out of date. As a result, IABC will be saying goodbye to MyComm.
According to a email from executive director Chis Sorek to all IABC members, MyComm will be removed from the IABC website on September 19th. The email informed members who have stored plans on MyComm to “please be sure to save them offline prior to this time.”
“Our sincere thanks go out to Cisco and especially Karen Horn for providng MyComm to IABC members as part of their membership package at no additional cost,” said Sorek in the email. “ MyComm was an outstanding product to generously share with the IABC community for so many years.”
“IABC is committed to providing the best user experiences for members,” he continued. “We’re currently intently focused on providing you with the most up-to-date tools and information. The addition of multiple new functions to eXchange and the retirement of MyComm are the first steps in what we expect to be revolutionary improvement in the online IABC experience. We look forward to sharing more details with you as they become available.”
MyComm was initially designed by Cisco as a tool to help engage and inform employees to enhance organizational performance.
